I have just weeded my onion/garlic bed and am wondering if I should be feeding them yet, should I be giving them a nitrogen feed ? would be grateful for guidance.
Many thanks

If you plants look like they are growing, yes you can...but be gentle with the feed..just a little 'snack' for now is enough as they are not in full growing speed yet and will not take in that much.
I gave little 'pick me up' feed for my garlic last weekend and I'll wait another 3 or 4 weeks untill I start looking if they should want anymore.

Mine get a good belt of tomato food towards the end of the month then their share of Miracle Gro as the season progresses.  Save the high N stuff for the brassicas.

It's still a bit early by the calender but here the weather is mild and dry, I might bring it forward a bit - watering in March eh, not good.

Many thanks to both for your thoughts, as you say perhaps I was seduced by the good weather last week-end!
