When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

He seems a real character. I love the look on his face.  :)

MacCavity the mystery cat?

Ferals still turning up every night for cheapo food. Unlike ours they will also eat table scraps with great gusto. That way at least we can get worming stuff in them. Odd thing is that Bootsie will eat half the dried food and then sit round and wait for Smudge to turn up. Even has been known to go looking for it before eating. They also eat out of the same bowl, heads together, no arguing. Never seen two cats so at peace with each other.
Bill still attacks on sight though.

Just an update on Bootsie and Smudge. They disappeared from our garden when we got new neighbours with 2 cats of their own. We thought that either the ferals had been foxed or badgered as we no longer saw them. So we were very surprised when our friends along the lane found them living in their woodshed, just before Christmas. Anyway Smudge has been captured and neutered and released to live in their garden as an outside cat. Of course Bootsie disappeared presumably scared off by the trap. However, he/she/it turned up yesterday after a weeks absence (in this awful weather). Now they are trying to catch him/her/it for neutering and release. At least they are still alive.

That is good news.  I hope they do catch and neuter the other as they'll both have quieter, healthier lives.    Good too that they have shelter for the winter.
