Before the frosts and snow, I had some new strawberry plants that were looking quite healthy. Now they just look frazzled! Will they come through this weather or are they dead?  :smileinbox:

Mine always get frazzled and just when I think it's time to give in and dig them all out they show green shoots.   Be patient.   They'll start growing when it's warm enough.

Thanks for that. I would hate to lose them completely.  :coffee2:

Strawberries have to have frost / snow on them or they will not produce any flowers in the summer, therefore no fruit.i leave mine out all winter, they will start new growth as and when they are ready,i take the runners off in autumn pot them on,put in greenhouse to root, once thy have rooted i put them outside with the rest, always seems to work for me,had a good year with them last year, even though the slugs and snails had a good share of them too

They should be fine, very frost resistant

They are a native plant remember, so can take it on the chin.
