Sorry I was so late and missed the best cake ....sob, sob.  How did your collection go?  Could you do me a favour? Was walking round the site and was attracted by the sound of power tools.  Being nosey I was gazing at the lovely, tidy plot and was invited in to look round.  Was very impressed with the greenhouse, cold frame that had been constructed out of, believe it or not pallets.  They were building a fruit cage when I was there.  To cut a long story short, could you ask the plotholder what variety of cucumbers he was growing please?  They were short fat ones.  Was gutted for declining his offer of one after I saw them.

We had a really good day and the weather forecast was wrong - it didn't rain.
We made £1,500 which has been divided between Macmillan and Air Ambulance.

Lottie Lou - I'm sorry I didn't get more time to talk to you on the day, but thank you
for coming. Is the plot you looked at at the side of the main drive? I think I know which
one you mean if it is. I'm staying at my son's at the moment but I'll sort it out when I
get back next week.
