:blob7: Just rung T&M to get an eta on strawberry order placed earlier on (see posts). Told originally Oct to Nov, oh no, Oct to mid May.
My reply was they eat strawberries in April/May.

Its not just T&M, why do these tel. sales people misinform customers, what is the point, the company lose all credibility. But from my experience of T&M, I will not be using there order line again.

My small order may not have added up to much in their scale of things but pennies make pounds and from the conversation I have had with the other members on our site has made them wary of using T&M.

I won't be buying plants from them again, but they seem better at seeds......

What hissed me off is their bait-and-switch AKA product substitution.  So you order fancy and hardly cheap onion sets and seed potatoes and they send you varieties you could have got from Poundland with a note about your choice being out of stock.

Their garlic has been fine in the past and plants not too bad but spuds and onion sets - never again.

I hate companies who substitute without asking especially as if it is something cheaper.   How long does an email take in comparison to having to go to the post office to send something back.   Some companies have a box you can tick to say no substitutes.

Having said that Tuckers substituted Elizabeth for Annabelle potatoes, and I was delighted with them.  Fab crop.

I had a nightmare with T and M this year, I ordered a load of plugs they didn't turn up until the middle of August. Very useful.

I am surprised that anyone orders anything from them anymore frankly, they sell stuff they don't have, deliver late, substitute and worst of all they change the name on seed varieties. The only thing they are good for is back end of the year when they have a half price sale and a coupon for free postage. Beyond that they are a waste of space.

When God blesses you with a multitude of seeds double  the blessing by sharing your  seeds with other folks.

I've never had any problems though I do try to not use them, but I do like the plug plants. Unfortunately there are two varieties of potatoes that I want for next year and guess who is doing them when I cannot find  another supplier.
Also they seem to be getting hooked up with Tescos as the Club card can be used now and one of the varieties I want is also available at Tesco.
I will now stop before I go off on an anti Tesco tirade.

I never even had a response to the last complaint I made.

Still, it's not as if I spend hundreds each year on seeds and plants....hang on a minute.... :tongue3:
