Went to the allotment this morning as it was sunny for a change on my day off. Had a lovely few hours in the sunshine doing a bit of weeding and tidying up, and as I left noticed the front fence panel had come adrift. Spent a few minutes struggling to get the blooming thing back in place, when the top rail suddenly snapped as I was pulling it upward, thereby smashing myself really hard in the mouth!  I actually feared for my teeth as it really hurt, but I now have an inadvertent ' trout pout' as my bottom lip swelled......OH was sympathetic......"did you win"?  :boxing: :boxing:
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

At least you didn't need surgery  b e c a u s e   of the trout pout.  Hope it is better very soon, not a nice thing to happen.  And yes, lots of sympathy and pampering is definitely the order of the day.  Would really yummy ice cream help with the swelling?

Deb P

Ice cream would be lovely, but son has used it all up making  liquidised fruity drinks with his new plaything; a 'nutri-ninja' he got for Christmas, sigh. I will just have to go old style with paracetamol and a glass of red wine............ :toothy5:

I hope it goes down soon.....I'll be a laughing stock at work tomorrow! Who needs botox, just a lump of wood and brute force! I clearly don't know my own strength.....

Big sympathies Deb , did similar with a big sheet of ply, Top lip couldn't drink hot tea for a week.

ACE

How are you doing Hotlips, if you need a cure, put a bottle of gin in the fridge for a couple of hours, drink gin then rub your lips with the cold bottle.

Did you really get your teeth into the fence repair job,or just pay it lip service?
I hope you are OK.
