Have replied 'I sometimes write a diary' cos I'm recording dates for most sowings and plantings for later reference.

*small voice* what's a blog?

I keep a record of when I sow things, when they germinate, when I pot them on, plant them out, harvest them (hopefully) etc and when I do major things in the garden (such as cutting back/pruning) and also what the min and max temperature are for that week. Is that a diary or a blog?
gone to pot :D

Blog - short for Web log - a diary of sorts kept on the 'net.

Like mine, see below. It's nothing special though, compared to some. Currently not looking it's best as my image hosting service is down, so no pics.

I think you might have been the culprit Speedy!

For you starting this thread or for Photobucket going down?

It's back up, btw. My photos are back. Such as they are.

Do my burblings on A4A count as a mini-blog?

Moggy,
I've counted my garden records as a diary.
Do you find that they help?
Each year I look back on my 'diary' and realise that I didn't record enough info,  so it gets more detailed :-\
Good gardening!

This is my first proper growing season so I can't really tell you yet if it helps  :)
Started a reasonably detailed diary in a notebook a few months ago, then lost it when I moved  :-[ Boxes are still in storage so it could be a while before i find it.

I write a diary of what I have done on the plot, also what I have bought and from where. I hope to get this typed up on to excel along with a layout of what I planted where, similar to the one that was posted on here a while back.  Knowing me this will never happen ::)

Sympathise with the moving thing.

17 years ago we lost two tea chests (famous movers and packers) and to this day we say "What happened to . . . ?  Ah Dropbridge lost it in the move."
Or maybe we haven't unpacked properly yet.
Good gardening!

I carefully record everything on paper - which means that when I need to refer back to the information its never available because I have put it somewhere safe - probably the dustbid.

My father-in-law used to keep a diary of everything that he planted in the garden.  He knew what he had planted, where it had been put and the date.  He recorded the weather following planting and the feeding pattern, all harvesting was recorded too.  This was over a 40 year period.  It was a mine of useful information - SO WHY CAN'T I REMEMBER TO DO THIS TOO?????
Always look on the bright side of life

Cheers  :) Last time we moved I lost my favourite denim jacket (£45) and a 1L bottle of vodka  :(

I am now trying to keep my diary on email, so I can access it from both home and work.

There's a list of the UK ones I've found here (though still finding more - thanks SpeedyMango - Google hadn't spotted yours!)

http://www.moonbells.freeserve.co.uk/Links/links.html

It's divided into two sections - active and non-active.  If anyone knows of another UK allotment diary/blog, please let me know so I can add them!
