Blimey, that's brilliant.  I took my allotment on over a year ago and am still dig dig digging.  I have:

Gooseberries
Redcurrants
Whitecurrants
Rhubarb
strawberries
5 types of potatoes
onions
shallots
leeks

Ready to go in:

4 types tomatoes
french beans
courgettes
Blueberries

Just have to dig and plant as I go now.  Still haven't managed to get a shed so I'm lugging everything down there when I need it which means I'm knackered before I even get there.

WELL DONE YOU  ;D ;D ;D

No onions in yet hopefully digging and planting today! Some of them anyway :D

Good work Mr Slugcatcher, unfortunatly the hard work is just starting, wait for them weeds to come back, the first year I thought I had done well but by July it was a full time job keeping the pesky weeds at bay, the good news is you get a buzz hoeing them down. Keep up the good work it is well worth it.

Aidy

Slug catcher - well done, you've achieved loads  ;D  You need to get yourself a shed.  I got a second hand one and my OH has had a lovely time putting it up.  It's not finished yet though but it's now got guttering and a water butt!  I complained that the doors blew open when I was in there potting up and me and the dog had to barricade ourselves in.  He's now fitted bolts and stuff so we are snug in there now.  Piece of old worktop in there too.  I've even germinated some lettuce seeds in there over the past few days.  I have a hurricane lamp bought off ebay and all I need now is a camping stove and my life will be complete  ;D    I'm having back problems (I thought I was better but no) so I'm not digging at all and have achieved a lot too - more than I thought I could so I'm quite encouraged and am looking for even more ways of having an allotment without getting the spade out.   ;D
I came, I saw, I composted

Hi wardy
I wouldnt mind doing no digging but I was that keen toget something growing I have had to do some.

I have ordered a book at the library but its taking an age to come I think I might have to buy it, "The Lasagna Method"
Found this link on the web about it. You might be interested or you might have already seen it.

since the last lot of planting Ive been given:
peas (different variety to mine)
broad beans (different)
sprouts
runnerbeans (different)
lettuce
;D ;D

Got to get a shed then I can have a sleep never mind a sit down ::)

Best wishes
Buy for nw

Hi Kitty
Forgot all about the tommies, with everything eles going on.
They are a real freindly lot these lottie people.
just went for a walk around to see what was happening and chill out and came back with plants, netting and advice.

I will have to go for another walk with a sign "TOMMIES wanted" lol

just got off in time yesterday there was a mini tornado it was really rough, rain howling wind and really dark. Then the sun came back out.
I will have to go and check everything is OK today, might have all blown away

Bye

Moggle

I rekon you're still not too late for toms  :) Chuck a few seeds in! I sowed a couple more over the weekend, and some are still just germinating. I'm sure they will grow quickly in the next month! There's nothing quite like home grown toms  ;D
Lottie-less until I can afford a house with it's own garden.

lancelotment

I'm with Moggle on that one Sluggy.  The toms, sweetpeas, French beans and basil I put in last weekend all germinated in 5 days!  I've only a small coldframe outside and between the mini monsoons over the last weekend the temp was up to 35 in there.  Time to get some more herbs and salads in I think!  Have a good one!  Lance  ;)
Getting there - just rather slowly!!
