For days now I have been searching for some trays that sit on a heated propagator, both sheds turned upside down, everycupboard in the house ransacked(and there are quite a few)-Jenny had not seen them.

Today I finally found them in a plastic bag hanging from the garage roof,"hurrah!" I announce to Jenny-----------

"oh yes, that`s where I put them last Autumn""

It`s true folks :)

Stephan.

If only, as I've said before, we would all LABEL everything - at the time - when it is planted or stored. Even all those connecting wires with their transformers - for every sort of disused electronic gadget. You must know what I mean.  Even the stuff in the freezer?? = Tim

unless of course, you are Ceri's Dad - in his shed (a wooden verandah thing he build down one side of his house so its quite big) not only does he have little boxes with labels on for each size screw etc., he has hooks on the wall for each gardening tool, with its head shape drawn on the wall so he puts them back in exactly the right place - it really makes us laugh and we take the micky something awful, but then go to our own sheds, fall over every tool in there except the one we want!  Its the National Service training from the 50's I think - it's never left him - he can still tie a sleeping bag up smaller than anyone else on this earth - and get more in the boot of a car!

Ceri, are you sure we don't have the same father!?? After mine died, I had to help my Mum out with a plumbing problem, into the loft I went, groaning at the sight of all those pipes and dials, and yes, lo and behold, he had labelled every one!! We too used to laugh at him, but he ALWAYS knew where his tools were! Reakon it was cos he was a virgo! He was in the army too, and could pack a boot better than anyone else too! DP
We don't inherit the earth, we only borrow it from our children.

Labels - horrid things. I can't stand the thought of wandering round my garden and seeing nothing but little gravestones marking each plant.

Although it did mean that I used to constantly forget what half my plants are called. Actually I'm down to just two that I don't know now. I forgot another one yesterday, but then remembered what it was a couple of hours later (I think it's dead anyway!)

But I've finally learnt that labelling pots of seeds is actually a good idea! Still don't label homemade pasta sauces in the freezer, though. So when hubby asks what's for dinner, it's pasta surprise!
gone to pot :D

I am the pits at labelling anything!  I try to be organised, honest I do, I start with heaps of good intentions, but they quickly go out of the window!  :-/  I don't label my plants either Aqui, but then I have the problem of digging things up when they are hidden underground.  I now label seeds, after having to sow things and put a question mark on the label, and have no idea what the plants were until they were in flower!
