I desperately need a vivid pink/purple osteospermum for my urns. I have used very dark plants so far - dark red Cordyline, dark purple salvia and a Magilla Perilla which has a bright pink stripe.  I went to my local nursery for the Osteospermums but they appear to have mixed up the labels.  There are three colours - Sunny Elizabeth, Sunny Mary and Sunny Stephanie but I think they have mixed up the plant labels.  Does anyone know if any of these are a vivid pink/purple shade?  Help!!   ???

Sunny Stephanie is red according to the Web, Sunny Elizabeth is lavender and Sunny Mary is  dark purple. For images got to Ebay Home and Garden and Search for Osteospermum Sunny etc.

I have this year planted a variety of these in my "pink" bed this year.
Sunny Mary
Cape Daisy Dodoma Light Purple
Cape Daisy Kalanga Rosy
Cape Daisy Arusha
these all appear tp be quite bright in colour exept the Arusha which is a fairly pale pink. Hope this helps

Thanks for the replies but I think I shall have to wait and see what colour they are when they come out!   ::)

A good Osteospermum to look out for is one called Nairobi purple which is an exellent colour and also hardy in the garden.
