There are some great ‘handles’ (nick-names) on here. I often have a chuckle at them even before I open the post. Just a few examples…

asbean, bigdibber, daisychain, diggingthelottie, grape_expectations, happyherby…Merrytiller...GoodGourd...etc. And I know there are hundreds more.

What’s your favourite?

Is it worth having a vote on what we consider to be the most appropriate one for A4A?

Of course for me it would have to be 'Garden Apprentice'!  ;D ;D ;D

Plenty of others i like too, but they would be runners up only.

Yes thats a good one!

Someone should call themselves "Movin' Earth". That would be a good one too! Hey, wait a moment that could be my next 'handle'.I do a lot of that!

I quite like "rhubarb thrasher", not for any other reason that it makes me imagine someone absolutely beating the hell out of a monster size leaf of rubarb  ;D (but i do honestly like rhubarb ! )
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened

Baaaaaaaa

"rhubarb thrasher" makes me think of someone being thrashed with a big rhubarb stick, probably in a sauna - or is that just my fantasy !

I think the handles reflect the varied people we have on here.

Some i find funny and others insiteful.

No fav nicknames though  ;D

I find it very difficult to reply to those with long handles. Often I don't.

No great loss to them!!

Clint - the man with no name - once said that "Names were for tombstones"

In this age where people are known by NI numbers and handles are widely used - whats in a name ?
When Santa's about, just hoe-hoe-hoe

asbean

I call myself asbean because my late husband always called me a "has been" (a back-handed compliment, I think).  And I like beans - all of them   :P :P :P
