Emma. I did type out a question for you yesterday obviously I didn't press the right button cos it isn't here ;D
The plant is more or less upright now but it has grown 2ins in a day. Should I put it in the greenhouse. It is on kitchen windowsill at present but I only keep my g/h at 40f.
Don't tell any one but I have never seen a pumpkin plant, how many sets of leaves? This plant has only got two leaves at the top. I did google but couldn't find any pics of plants
HELP please....Lorna

Had a great laugh at this Rhys, wonderful photo. If that was my first ever attempt I'd have taken dozens. You trying to psych out the competition already? 8)  8)

Glad you like the photo - here is another.

It took two people to lift the biggest pumpkins, we could only just about manage to lift it into the wheelbarrow - which buckled under the weight :o
We had a pumpkin party with our neighbours.

My soil is incredibly fertile, everything grows massive, the heads of my sunflowers last year were bigger than the largest dinner plates you can find!

The record for atlantic giant is about 450kg - I can expect something similar I think

One thing to remember with pumpkins is that they need plenty of time to ripen. I cut them then leave them for several weeks, or I get protests that they're 'waterish'.
