I've been clearing a lot out & putting it on the compost when it occured to me that someone might want some.  Probably best growing it in a pot though as it can be a bit invasive but I just love the smell.

PS some of it might turn out to be bluebells  :-[ bit difficult to tell at the moment - they're pretty too though.

I'll pm you.

Just realised this is in Basics - thought I'd put it in edible plants - silly me.

I shall try & get it in the post to you before the end of the week agapanthus.

Nuts... I would have loved some Ransoms... the smell is great and I have just the damp shady spot they would love...
:-\

Marymary

What's Ransoms, Saddad? Is it the propper name for wild garlic?

saddad

It certainly was the name used for it where I was brought up, near Ramsbottom.. where the wild garlic grows!
;D

May sound silly but can you eat wild garlic?

Robert_Brenchley

Yes. I've never tried the bulbs, but if you can cope with the way it spreads, the leaves add a mild garlicky taste to food. I call it Ramsons too.

Rosyred

Think we may have it in our back garden. White bulds with green growing out like chives ish and smells like onions when you pull it out. Wondered what it was. Don't mind it growing there now if we can use it haha

manicscousers

that could be garlic chives, is it in a clump, like chives..our clump has white flowers in summer-ish..nice for omelettes..is that how you spell that, my brains turned off  ;D

Marymary

Wild garlic [or Ransomes as I have recently learned  :)] definitely smell of garlic.  Hugh FW has a recipe for wild garlic soup BTW!
