Haaappppy Birthday..or...is it..

The cat's out the bag. For as long as I can remember I defered my birthday until 6 months later, for when the weather is better. (Well the queen can get away with it.) Trouble is I put the proper date on facebook and as I am now officially an old age perisher I thought I had better have it on the real date.

Mrs Ace ain't amused, she did not know the proper date,  and the kids think I'm bonkers, they all wondered why I had booked a pub for the evening this friday for a bit of a do. Should be a good night as I have bunged my first months pension over the bar.

I ain't retiring yet though, I still have people throwing money at me to revamp their gardens and I believe old Newton got it wrong when he said the time spent fishing is not deducted from the sum total of your life. I am sure he meant gardening.

Happy birthday ACE from me too, was a bit worried about Kev, think he has been ill, as no rude messages lately, but today I do know he is back to normal. Thinking of moving to the Isle of Wight, so be worried ACE, that is where all the old people are that can afford to shop in Waitrose.  ;D ;D ;D

What  a night, a room full of musicians and singers we raised the roof a bit.. I had a play on a friends new concertina, they are made specially to order. Mrs Ace could see I was smitten with the instrument and said I should order one of  my own and she would buy it as my burfday present. Ordered it this morning before she realises how much it is going to cost her ;D She won't see much change out of 2 grand. But I reckon  I'm worth it ;)
